Spring Will Always Spring

Happy Easter babes!

Easter truly is one of my favorite days of the year, not because of the treats and the Easter Bunny (although I don’t hate that part!) I love this day because of all it represents and the fresh start it offers all of us!

I know the first day of spring doesn’t begin on Easter, but for me it seem to mark a day of renewal! I begin seeing new life, new chances, and the reminder of new beginnings!

After a dark and gray winter when life seems obsolete, seeing the flowers shoot up and sunshine brighten reminds me that no matter how dark your days may seem, spring always comes! Like clockwork, it happens every year! Although some years it may come later than others, I never have to question whether spring will come or not!

The cool thing is the same is true with figurative "springs" in our lives. No matter how dark and gloomy your life may seem, spring WILL come and the sun will shine again! It is guaranteed. It may not be for a month or a year or 60 years, but it will come! When I was in my darkest days, I truly didn't believe the flowers would ever bloom again, but sure enough, the flowers have bloomed and spring has sprung! Yeah, there are still rainy and gloomy days, but the sun is here and I made it through. I made it through #becauseofhim and I know you can too!

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I believe that Easter marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was beaten, mocked, and ultimately, killed by his enemies. I know that because of this Atonement, we can all have ‘new beginnings’ 365 days a year! Today I want to share 4 lessons I’ve learned through my “spring days” and how you can apply these lessons to your own life!

1. When I was going through my divorce there was one thing everyone kept telling me: “If I could go through this for you, I would!” I am so lucky to have people in my life that love me so much they would be willing to literally take my pain away, but we know that isn’t humanly possible.

However, it is possible. It has been done. Jesus Christ literally felt every pain, emotion, heartbreak, and fear I have ever experienced so that I would have someone to 100% empathize with me when it was my turn to experience it! Everyone has had this gift freely given to them, and He can truly life your burdens, all you have to do is ask!

2. He did it for ME! He did it for all of us! If you have no idea what I’m talking about when I say the word atonement, I highly recommend reading about it! Having an understanding of what the word represents will help you realize how incredibly special you are! You may feel like there are days you are completely alone and nobody would get a papercut for you, let alone die for you…but no matter how lonely and gloomy your days may get, you always have One that literally did die for you. For you specifically. You are so special, never forget it!

3. It’s never too late to restart! No matter how deep in the hole you may feel, how broken your life may seem, or how many mistakes you have made, you can always restart! Often we set our New Year’s Resolutions in January and when we fall short, we give up completely for the year; but it doesn’t have to be that way! Each season is a new beginning, each day is a new start, and even each minute is a chance to begin again and make the changes you need to make!

In the Boss Babes Mastermind, we always talk about restarting and never allowing a mistake or a bad day to get us down. Simply 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…we are done! Make the CHOICE to change, it is possible!

4. Spring will come! Just like a said before, spring is a guarantee. No matter how cold or bitter the winter, flowers will bloom and spring is promised! However, in the depths of winter, this can be a hard concept to remember!

As you know if you've read my previous post, it was 3 years ago this month that I was abandoned and heartbroken. Let me tell you, that spring sure didn't feel very "springy!" Those were the most bitter days of my life. Not only did I not believe spring would ever come again, but I didn't even want to live to see that day. So if you are currently in your winter of life, trust me when I say, "I get it!" All I know, is that good days always come! One day you will be enjoying the sunshine and rise of life, and you will have a hard time recalling the bitter cold you once felt! Hold on! Good days are ahead!

Whether you’ve been through a terrible divorce, loss of a loved one, or anything in-between, today you can start fresh. Allow yourself to put the burdens and pains you feel on the Savior and literally let him carry your burdens with you. You don’t need to do it alone!

Hard days are ahead for all of us, there have been days I feel dead inside, but I know that there is always hope of renewal and today, I choose to be ‘reborn!’ I hope you will too!

#Beauseofhim , I am whole again when I never thought I would be. #becauseofhim, you can be too. And #beauseofhim Spring WILL come! Just hold on!

If you are stuck in a cold winter of life right now, please reach out and I'll be happy to share my sunshine!
